Shrink label is the new age packaging material used by big brands like Nestle , CocaCola, Pepsi, Tropicana and many other brands for various products from drinks to dairy products , snacks , candy and condiments to soaps.

Shrink labels are made of film material that shrinks when heat is applied and they are non-adhesive. These shrink label come in mainly PVC, PETG, and OPS Shrink labels. These labels are cost effective and environmentally safe. Most of the retailer and manufacturer are now moving to this new age packaging method.

As the market is increasing for this kind of packaging the machine that is used to pack the product with these shrink labels is called the Shrink label applicator. This Shrink Label Applicator is a compact shrink band applicator with small heat shrink tunnel which can shrink the PCV bands on the bottles of different shapes and sizes. Since it is a compact machine it can be easily installed. It reduces manual labor reducing the packaging cost for the manufacturer.

The shrink label applicator is a basic robot that automatically applies pressure sensitive labels to all kind of products. It provides a complete solution for packing with shrink labels. It packs food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, bottles, dairy items etc. The shrink label applicator is used for applying Shrinkable sleeve label or neckbands on most food package like bottles, yogurt cup, margarine bowls and pharmaceutical product like eye drop container.

The Shrink label applicator is also available in high speed. They can apply labels to more than 300 containers per minute. The running film which is as thin as 35 gauges (microns) can also be applied with high speed and in turn reducing the overall packaging cost for the manufacturer.

As packaging is the last and final step in the production process, once the container is filled and capped it progressed to the labeling station where the shrink label applicator cuts and applies two labels at a time. The cutting of label is such that there is no wastage at all. After the label is cut the container is pushed into the application zone. The container moves to the steam tunnel which heats the label and gets conforms to the container molding in the shape of the container.

The Shrink labels are a very simple cost effective and fast process of packing. The Shrink labels and shrink label applicators have come as an answer to packaging problems. It's an answer to the packaging which was an environment hazard too.
