GaugeAshcroft Can somebody advise price on a 1896 ASHCROFT WATER PRESSURE gauge?
This gauge is made out of cast iron or sort and reads: L.BOOTH & SONS. Los Angeles, Cal. Ashcroft mfg co Registered April 12,1896 lbs pressure of water goes from 0-200 and feet in column from 0-460.
There is little value in an old pressure gauge. However, Ashcroft is one of the most well known instrumentation manufacturers still today, so they or one of their distributors may be interested (visit ashcroft.com).
If you just want to replace it and want to know how much it would cost, that depends on your requirements. At 200psi, this would be a bourdon tube style gauge, so it shouldn't be too expensive for a typical +/-2% accuracy gauge (however, the 460'WC doesn't seem to match that range). Price will change depending on the necessary accuracy and different case sizes, materials, and styles. You should call up a local industrial distributor for more specifics.
