Heater Outdoor
what sort of heater do i need to heat an outdoor turtle pond, i need to increase it by 10degrees?
not sure how big it is, its 50cm deep and a metre by metre and a half??
Try a farm supply store for a small floating "stock tank heater". Plug the heater into a timer rated for outdoor use and multiple off/on settings. A floating swimming pool thermometer will let you monitor the water temperature and adjust the timer to maintain the temperature you want. Ideally you need a 110 volt thermostat switch with a submersible temperature probe but I can't remember where I have seen them. An appliance parts store might be a good place to start.
