Are the Pleated fiberglass allergery filters bad for the furnance?
I recently put a allergry filter on the furance. We have been suffering terrible allergies. The furnance sounds a bit different. Is this bad or hard on the furnance?
Where would I get that electrostatic filter from?
I've had one of those washable allergy filters for several years. The biggest problem I've had is the frequent cleaning it requires. The finer mesh of the allergy filter clogs much faster than the standard filters and is sometimes a pain to clean too.
That being said, I have never had any problems with a blower motor overheating nor have I noticed decreased airflow at my vents. It seems to keep more of the dust out of my house too.
