Spring Timer
Central Heating still on when controller switched to off?
Strange problem, Recently moved into a 20 year old house. Now that it is getting towards spring i turned the thermostat down.
Next day noticed that the house was warmer that usual, so turned the stat down further.
Same happened next day, so i turned the stat down as low as it would go. Radiators still heated up. This time i turned the controller/timer from "continuous" to "off" (still leaving the Hot water settings as they were). Checked the thermostat and noticed that the LED's that normally indicate "Below " or "Reached" were both off, so I know that the controller had switched of the contol side of the stat.
Guess what, just got in and the radiators are warm again? Any Ideas?

You got a 2-port valve fault, either the valve spindle is stuck in the open position making the end switch and holding on the heating or the end switch is gone inside the valve.
Either way your gonna need a new valve
