Swamp Air
How do I convince my wife that we need to have some windows open when running our swamp cooler? Help!?
We have an evaporative cooler (swamp) and she wants to treat it like it's an air conditioner. she flips out whenever the doors or windows get left open and she doesn't understand the concept of airflow and allowing air to escape out as fast as it's being brought in... the cooler runs full blast and practically blows the doors off the hinges when we go in or out... anyone know of a good way to explain how swamp coolers work and why windows should be left open?
Sounds like a lost cause to me. Just crack some out of the way windows so she isn't aware. Or maybe take off some weatherstrip from a door or two and put it back on in winter. Hard to argue with a hard head
